“SQUIRRELS” AND RONALDO FESTIVAL WINNERS

Within patronage of City of Nis and City municipalities Palilula, Medijana, Pantelej, was held twelfth Children Roma Festival.This is unique manifestation in culture, which successfully organizing Association of citizens of Roma “Ecology – Amaro Drom”, gathered large number of participants in the great hall of the Military Club of Serbia in Nis.Celebrated International Day of Roma, and the ceremony of children Roma song opened Aladin Omerovic, director of the Festival. About importance of the greatest festivity of Roma population spoke Alija Sacipovic, president of the Council of National and Minority Rights of the City of Nis. Among the guest of this manifestation was the Dragoslav Cirkovic, President of City Municipality of Medijana, Rusomir Arsic, children`s poet, Mirjana Jumerovic, first Roma children`s poet, representatives of media EKOpolis Network, Association “Love thy Neighbour”.

In official program of Festival of Children Roma Song, this year performed twelve vocal soloists. By jury of the Festival, Professor Dr Radivoje Mancic, Alija Sacipovic and Slobodan Nestorovic, journalist, first prize won Ronaldo Mekic with the song “Squirrels”, for which the text is written by Mirjana Jumerovic and music and arrangement Ivica Jumerovic. Second prize of the Festival won Alisa Jusufovic, with the song “Vasilije Gandlo Cavo”, for which the music and arrangement wrote Igor Ibisevic and text by Mirjana Jumerovic. With the song “Festival”, for which the text is written by Katica Jovanovic, music and arrangement Dalibor Vuckovic, third prize won Jelena Misic.
